The Vice President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Dr. Malek Alsharairi, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Amman, Mofida Al-Zaribi, along with her accompanying delegation during her visit to the university to explore opportunities for academic and cultural cooperation between the two sides.
The visit included an introduction to the university and its academic programs, discussions on potential collaboration between GJU and its counterparts in Tunisia, and a review of the status of Tunisian students studying at the university.
During the meeting, Prof. Alsharairi gave a brief presentation about the university, highlighting its academic programs and newly introduced specializations. He emphasized GJU’s mission, which focuses on excellence in education, scientific research, and societal impact—starting from the local community and extending globally. He also noted that the university aims to empower its students not only to become entrepreneurs but also to be business creators, company founders, and pioneers of innovative projects.
For her part, Ambassador Al-Zaribi stressed the importance of education as a foundation for progress. She pointed out that the selection of GJU by a significant number of Tunisian students is due to its academic excellence and the unique opportunities it offers them to contribute to the development of their home country.
She also expressed the embassy’s aspiration to strengthen partnerships between GJU and Tunisian universities, enhancing academic cooperation between the two countries.
