As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting interactive learning and developing students' skills beyond the classroom, the "My Right to Learn" initiative, organized by the German Jordanian University (GJU) under its Children's University Program, organized an educational and recreational visit to Zaha Cultural Center – Khalda. The visit aimed to provide participants with an engaging learning environment that combines knowledge, creativity, and enjoyment.
The visit aligns with the initiative's vision of enriching students' educational experiences through extracurricular activities and hands-on learning opportunities that contribute to personal development while strengthening communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills in an interactive and stimulating environment.
In cooperation with the Integrated Multi Transport Company, transportation was provided for participants to and from the University's campus and Zaha Cultural Center. The initiative expressed its appreciation for the company's valuable support, commending its team for ensuring safe and comfortable transportation, which contributed significantly to the success of the visit.
Upon arrival, the students were welcomed by the Zaha Cultural Center team, who prepared a diverse program featuring a variety of educational and recreational activities. These included a magic show, interactive Telematch games that encouraged teamwork and creativity, as well as an artistic gypsum painting workshop. The activities created an engaging atmosphere that fostered participation, creativity, and innovation among the students.
The Center's team also played a key role in organizing the activities and supervising the participants throughout the visit, ensuring the smooth implementation of the program and providing the students with a rewarding experience that successfully combined learning with entertainment.
The visit was supervised by the initiative's Founder and Supervisor, Mr. Abdul Hakim Arabiyat, who oversaw the various stages of the trip and the activities to ensure that its educational and developmental objectives were achieved. Ms. Hiba Arabiyat, together with a team of volunteers from GJU's School of Architecture and Built Environment and members of the local community, coordinated and accompanied the students throughout the visit.
The visit reflects the continued commitment of the "My Right to Learn" / Children's University Program to providing innovative educational experiences that contribute to students' personal growth while developing their social and creative skills. It also highlights the importance of building meaningful partnerships with community institutions in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
At the conclusion of the visit, the initiative extended its sincere appreciation to the Integrated Multi Transport Company and Zaha Cultural Center – Khalda for their generous support, warm hospitality, and valuable contributions, which played a significant role in making the visit a successful and memorable learning experience for all participants.
