The Greek Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Irene Riga, visited the German Jordanian University (GJU), where she met with its President, Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, to learn about the university, its academic programs, and its role in applied education and scientific research.

During the meeting, Prof. Al-Halhouli pointed out that the university is a unique model for international applied education, as it focuses on education, scientific research, and community service, in addition to leadership and innovation. The university continuously seeks to build strategic partnerships with various educational sectors globally.

The Ambassador was also briefed on the Syrian Jordanian Education Project (Edu Syria), where the project's coordinator, Prof. Dhiah Abu Tair, provided an explanation of its role in providing educational opportunities for the benefiting students.

Also attending the meeting was the Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Reiner Finkeldy, who reviewed ways to enhance academic cooperation between the university and higher education institutions in Greece, which would contribute to the development of academic and research exchange programs between both sides.
