The German Jordanian University (GJU), through its Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), organized its distinguished annual alumni meeting at the Jabal Amman campus. The event was attended by a select group of alumni, national leaders, pioneering figures, and representatives from partner institutions.

Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, President of GJU, highlighted the university’s key achievements in recent years and its future aspirations, emphasizing its continuous efforts to keep pace with global developments and to strengthen its position as an academic and cultural bridge between Jordan and Germany.

For his part, Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawreh, Dean of DI-TECH, stressed the importance of strengthening sustainable communication bridges between the alumni and the university, contributing to fostering a sense of belonging and benefiting from alumni experiences to support future generations, particularly in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Ayda Abdo, Director of Human Resources at the Royal Hashemite Court and Director of the Royal Automobile Museum, delivered the keynote address to the alumni. She reflected on how her university experience shaped her professional journey, praised the academic foundations and values she gained, and encouraged her fellow alumni to actively contribute to community development in line with the university’s mission.

The event also featured speeches by Eng. Seema Al-Ouran from the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation, and Eng. Shorouq Hamdan from the Jordan River Foundation, both focusing on the importance of entrepreneurship and enhancing public-private partnerships, and the impact of such efforts in empowering youth and graduates.

The event included a variety of interactive activities, most notably a presentation by GJU’s Innovation Club and a segment titled "Spotlight on Distinguished Alumni," featuring three outstanding graduates: Mohammad Abu Hamdeh, Mohammad Abu Hanieh, and Dara Al-Zagha. This was followed by a panel discussion entitled "Entrepreneurship After Graduation," where five alumni shared inspiring success stories from various fields: Waleed Al-Saleh, Moath Fauri, Malak Akiely, Alaa Farraj, and Farah Sharaf. The session was moderated by alumna Rand Al-Qatawneh.

The event concluded with a networking session among alumni, during which the university’s future vision and plans to activate the alumni network locally and internationally were presented—amid an atmosphere filled with pride, gratitude, and deep affiliation to the university.
